Another exciting NBA season is here complete with a list of the most effective and superior players of the 2013-2014 NBA season. Reigning MVP Lebron James continues to prove why he is one of the best players in the league as he looks to raise his fourth MVP award while pursuing his third consecutive NBA title. Kevin Durant continues to make his case for the MVP while newcomers Paul George and James Harden look to add their names to the MVP list, unfortunately there can be only one victor. One player will rise above all to become the face of the league. Who will it be? Vote now!

Kevin Durant:

NBA Rank: #1 in Points Per Game (29.6), #6 in free throw Pct. 88.6 %

Kevin Durant has been one of the leading MVP candidates over the past few NBA seasons, he has been without his “go to guy” Russell Westbrook, yet he continues to carry the offensive load for his team on a nightly basis. It comes as no surprise that Durant is leading the league in scoring, what’s more impressive is the Thunder’s ability to sustain such a successful winning record despite losing such an important player in Russell Westbrook. Durant looks to be the unanimous winner of the 2014 NBA scoring title but will it be enough to garner the MVP award?

LeMarcus Aldridge:

NBA Rank: #6 in Points Per Game (23.6), #6 in Rebounds Per Game 11.0

LeMarcus Aldridge has been one of the top forwards in the game over the past three or four NBA seasons, unfortunately he has not received much credit due to his team’s poor records and inability to clinch a playoff berth. Fast forward to the 2013-2014 NBA season, who would have thought the Portland Trail Blazers would be atop of the Western Conference standings holding down the #1 spot? Aldridge is a guaranteed selection for the Western Conference All-Star game, let’s just hope the Trail Blazers can sustain their high momentum while maintaining the #1 playoff position in the West.

Paul George:

NBA Rank: #5 in Steals Per Game (1.9), #9 in Points Per Game (22.6), #14 in Free Throw Pct. (86.0)

Paul George has become the franchise player for an Indiana Pacers team focused on clinching the #1 playoff seed in the Eastern Conference. George is putting up career numbers in points and steals per game and looks to make his second consecutive All-Star appearance this year. Individual accolades aside, the Pacers are primarily focused on dethroning the team who delivered them a heartbreaking 2013 NBA Playoffs defeat, the Miami Heat. The Pacers are destined to appear in yet another NBA Eastern Conference finals; only this time they will enjoy the home court advantage.
