The NBA season is just around the corner and the Eastern Conference is once again in shambles as many of the top ranked teams from the previous season have dwindled into the mediocrity that makes up the east. On a positive note, the 2014-2015 NBA season should be another electrifying year for many of the top point guards in the league . You may be surprised to see our list of the 2013-2014 Top NBA Point Guards has changed in dramatic fashion. Several players you might have expected to make the top-5 have found themselves ranked lower according to analysis provided by the S.U. writing staff.
NBA staff: Jr. Williams, Arnold Glass, Francesca Toledo, Jared Cortes, and Greg Patuto were asked to provide their list of the 2014-2015 top point guards in the NBA as of right now – here are the results of their selections ranked 10 to 1 ( according to calculated votes ).
Honorable Mentions
11. Jose Calderon – Dallas Mavericks
Francesca Toledo: At 32, he is in the prime of his basketball career, and his skills and smarts on the court make him one of the most efficient shooters in the league. He has also made quite a name for himself as one of the best three-point shooters currently in the game. His defensive game is nothing to write home about, but being a great floor manager makes up for it.
10. Kyle Lowry – Toronto Raptors
Arnold Glass: This is my sleeper pick. I don’t think people paid attention to what Lowry was up to north of the border. Tenth in scoring, third in rebounds, third in three-point attempts, and seventh in assists. Lowry only missed three games which shows his durability. He almost delivers you the total package.
