Heat vs Spurs Game 3 Prediction: 2013 NBA Finals – Spurs Win

Prediction: Spurs. Final score 96 to 93

The Spurs, fresh off the butt-whipping’ they received in Miami during Game 2, will do everything in their power to maintain home-court advantage. Tony Parker and Tim Duncan will do what they did in Game 1 and lead the Spurs to victory in Game 3 and a 2-1 lead in the series.  It will be a tough battle for all four quarters, but I can’t see the Spurs getting trounced in back-to-back games, especially at home.

Prediction: Spurs. Final Score 103 to 93

The Spurs are one of the best teams in the league when it comes to playing at home and I expect the Spurs bench to shoot lights-out behind the arc while taking control of this game early. Popovich will motivate his team to play at the highest level but the Spurs contributions from bench are the key to winning this game. I think Matt Bonner has to have a great shooting game; he and Tony Parker are the key players who have to get off to a great start offensively. Tim Duncan will be great as usual, he should finish the game with 20 points and 12 rebounds which will be just enough to carry the Spurs to a Game 3 victory.

After Miami blew out the Spurs in the fourth quarter of Game 2, I see the Spurs as a team with pride who will not let that happen in Game 3. Miami had to win a game at home after losing the first one. At one point, the Spurs only had two points in the fourth while the Heat had 19 points. This is a game the Spurs will come out at home and do what they do best and that is play a disciplined, methodical game of basketball with the defense to match. I have the Spurs winning Game 3.

Prediction: Heat. Final Score 96 Spurs 90.

After the blowout Game 2 win by Miami, I think Game 3 will be more like Game 1. This one should be neck-and-neck for most of the game. Ray Allen and Mike Miller will continue to knock down open shots, and LeBron should have a typical LeBron game. Miami has figured out how to guard Tony Parker by giving him multiple defenders and keeping him off balance. The Spurs will stay close due to Bosh and Wade not playing up to their standards, but Miami will run away with it in the 4th with the help of LeBron and his shooters.
